Welcome one and all to Claude Church
Thank you for joining us in worship today. If you are visiting us for the first time today, please sign our guest book in the front entrance vestibule. If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to consider worshipping with us on a regular basis. Please stay for a few minutes after this morning’s worship service and join us in the Sunday School room for refreshments and fellowship.
Next Sunday will be Randy’s last worship service here at Claude Church. We will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at this service. We hope you will all be here to say goodbye to Randy, Dana, William and
Alice. If you know of anyone who has attended Claude in past years but hasn’t been recently, please extend an invitation to them to be here too.
Our deepest sympathies go to the family and friends of Hilda Innis who died this past Thursday. Her funeral was held yesterday afternoon. Hilda was a long-time member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Caledon East and
Please remember to include the following in your daily prayers throughout the coming week.

During Thanksgiving, when most tables are filled with food, pray for food banks, soup kitchens, shelters and other food programs.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9
Pray for the Rev. Dr. Glynis Williams as she assumes the responsibilities of Associate Secretary for International Ministries.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10
Pray for Brian Johnston as he returns to ministry in Romania, having been in Canada during the spring and summer months.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13
Pray for Presbyterian World Service & Development programs in East Africa, Japan, Pakistan and Haiti that are improving people’s ability to respond to future disasters and changing weather patterns.
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our heats away, a sordid boon!
Supporting Farmers in Pakistan
Families in Pakistan who lost everything to widespread flooding have been given a new sense of hope and opportunity thanks to the support of Presbyterians in Canada. In response to the critical needs of so many in the area, Presbyterian World Service & Development, in partnership with Canadian Foodgrains Bank, provided 2,000 farmers with high quality seeds, new farming tools and fertilizer to restart farms. Farmers were also taught organic farming techniques to increase harvests, improve nutrition and reduce the impact of future disasters. Together we are helping break cycles of poverty and ensuring there is enough food for today and the long-term. Thank you for your faithful, generous support!
NATIONAL OFFICE: Building church community
Presbyterians Sharing supports the work of the Communications Department at our national church offices. The Communications staff work to maintain and update the presbyterian.ca website, assist individual congregations in setting up their own websites, and design many of the resources used by Presbyterian congregations on a weekly basis. Their ministry has helped 230 Presbyterian churches to set up websites, allowing them have an active web presence and reach out to their own communities.

September Financial Report
Copies of our latest Financial Report as of the end of September are available now. If you would like to have a copy, they will be available during the fellowship hour in the Sunday School Hall.
Dana’s Induction Service
The Reverend Dana has extended an invitation to the folks here at Claude to attend her Induction Service at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. The service will be held at 7 pm on Sunday, November 4th. It is a long drive from here but it certainly would be nice to see some Claude folks there to celebrate with her.
As we leave the church today, we go with the assurance that God is with us in every possible situation. May our hearts and minds be open to his presence.
Remember to Support your local Food Bank.
