Up-Coming Events at Claude
Adult Bible Study
We previously announced that our weekly adult bible study get-togethers had been suspended for the summer months however some folks have indicated that they would like to have them continue throughout the summer. Rev. Benson is willing to lead bible studies if enough people are willing to attend. If you would like to participate in weekly Bible Study during the summer, please let Randy know. He will take it from there.
Our monthly book club group is taking a vacation for the summer. Hopefully you will continue to read throughout the summer and if you discover some “good reads” please share your findings with us when we start up again in the fall.

ome people give time, some money, some their skills and connections,
some literally give their life's blood. But everyone has something to give.

CANADA: Building community beyond differences
Our gifts to Presbyterians Sharing support the joint English-Korean ministry at Hopedale Presbyterian Church in Oakville, Ontario. In addition to offering English and Korean worship services and church school, English conversation circles, an origami class and table tennis for families are serving the community. The Hopedale Youth Orchestra is particularly successful at drawing in Korean community members. The Rev. Wan Tae Oh, one of Hopedale’s two ministers, feels that the church is a model of how important it is to build a community beyond differences. Let us pray for Hopedale as it shares the love of Christ in English and Korean.
Photos for Church Website
If you haven’t looked at the Claude Church website recently, we encourage you to do so now. Merle Harstone has completely rebuilt the website and has done an excellent job on it. She isn’t done yet. She is planning to include a “Family Photo Album” and an “Arts” page. Over the years, many of you have taken photos of events at Claude and so she is asking you to take a few minutes to dig through your albums or computer files and share what you have with the rest of us. The following will give you an idea of what she is looking for: “Family Photo Album” - Our People and Our Places in pictures now and through the years … Windows of welcome, information, story, interests, play, family, worship, beauty, contemplation, rest ... [we are interested in photos that will lead people in contemplation and rest or that depict gatherings, personal enjoyment, …] “Arts” - A celebration of creativity ... The arts and artful living ... creativity and creative thinking ... variety ... in the image of God ... organ, piano, fiddle, banjo, percussion, vocal, poetry, writing, photography, drawing, painting, craft, textiles, fashion, decorating, helping, sharing, parenting, grand-parenting, friendship, potluck meals, meals on wheels, volunteering, local histories and archives, teaching, leading, listening, collections, play, farming, gardening, baking, hosting, hospitality, networking, greeting and welcoming, cycling, video, choral reading, narrative tableaus, movement ... [we are interested in photos that show the things that the people of Claude have created with our own hands … be it baking, knitting, building, woodworking …]
