Working for water justice
Did you know that nearly a billion people around the world do not have access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation? In areas where water is severely limited, Presbyterian World Service & Development and local partners are digging new wells and boreholes, installing water storage tanks at schools and building household latrines. The results are often dramatic: people are able to focus their energy on education, agriculture and income generating activities that have the potential to eradicate poverty. On March 22 – World Water Day – pray, give and advocate for water justice. A gift of only $30 installs a household latrine for improved sanitation.
For many years now, Claude Church has been on the “Every Home Subscription Plan” for the Presbyterian Record, as we continue to be this year. Because of our tight budget concerns, some folks have asked if they can contribute to the cost of their subscription. The answer is certainly “yes!” Treasurer Russ has a supply of special envelopes available out back in the Fellowship Hall. If you would like to contribute to the cost of your Presbyterian Record subscription please pick up one of these envelopes. The cost is $25.00 per year. Please make your cheque payable to Claude Presbyterian Church.

Greetings to Pope Francis I from the PCC
His Holiness Pope Francis I
On behalf of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, we send you warm greetings in Christ as you commence your ministry as leader of the Roman Catholic Church. We assure you of the prayers and good wishes of our members and rejoice with our Roman Catholic friends and neighbours, in the excitement of your election. In Canada, we enjoy happy ecumenical relations with many Catholic parishes, and are involved nationally in shared ministry together in areas of social justice, ecumenical dialogue, reconciliation and common Christian witness. May God bless you with health and strength in your ministry.
